Blogging4Jobs Named Top Career Site by Forbes

Oklahoma-based Blogging4Jobs, which provides insight and content about career, human resources, recruiting, and workplace issues, is listed among Forbes’ Top 75 Career Websites in this month’s edition of Forbes’.

Forbes’ Top 75 Career Websites also includes such sites as Monster, Dice and CareerBuilder as well as job search sites like SimplyHired and LinkedIn.

Blogging4Jobs.com is an online workplace resource for managers, leaders, human resources, and recruiting professionals. They take their audience to “uncomfortable, yet necessary,” places exposing them to the realities of the workplace without the “corporate sugar coating.”

The site was launched in 2007 with a goal of helping job seekers learn the unwritten rules of job searching. The site has since expanded with more than 15 regular writers and offers insights into the world of work from a corporate and operations no-nonsense point of view.

“The list included a number of blogs as resources, which I believe is invaluable to the passive as well as active job seeker,” said Blogging4Jobs Author and owner Jessica Miller-Merrell, who is also a national and international speaker on workplace technology and human resources issues.

“Managing your career involves planning, knowledge, and education into the inter-workings of the organization where you work, the industry, and your competition. And by competition, I mean your peers. I was excited to see a number of blogs who made the list that provide important insights into the hiring process, getting promoted, and the job search.”

In early August, Forbes put out a call for nominations for the inaugural list of the best career websites, inspired by ForbesWoman’s annual list of Top 100 Websites For Women.
Readers submitted comments, emails and tweets with roughly 700 websites. Forbes then hand-picked their top 75 choices.

“Blogging4Jobs has always endeavored to provide the best career, human relations and job search tips and advice, and we are humbled and honored to be included on this list,” said Miller-Merrell.
