AUSTIN WOMAN MAGIZINE AWARDS AFFINTUS 2012 SMALL BUSINESS GRANT
AUSTIN, TX., August 28, 2012 — Affintus has been selected by Austin Woman Magazine and AW Media as this year’s recipient of the 2012 Small Business Grant.
Each year AW Media selects an Austin small business that benefits the city and is majority woman-owned. Affintus was founded in 2008 to help organizations hire and promote the right people. Affintus combines valid, online assessment of cognitive and personality factors as well as work culture match. Affintus also delivers custom behavioral interviewing strategies and consultation to help clients find the right employees in their applicant pools. The Affintus system delivers comprehensive, predictive talent analytics about the most important and expensive business asset – employees.
In addition to serving clients Affintus donates assessment and analysis services to Dress for Success and are currently developing partnerships with the Texas Veterans Commission to provide service to job seeking veterans.
Affintus was co-founded by Paula A. Soileau, CPA, Deborah L. Kerr Ph.D., and Dennis E. Wilson – all executive management veterans who understood the high cost of hiring mistakes. Soileau and Kerr are co-authors of the Talent Show: 3 Talent Metrics CEOS Can Use to Improve the Bottom Line, Texas CEO Magazine as well as other articles and blogs.
Affintus will be awarded a cash prize, an advertising campaign in Austin Woman and will be featured in a future issue of the magazine. Affintus will also be honored at the AW Media 10th Anniversary of Austin Woman 2012 Luncheon Gala. The event will be held September 7, 2012 at the Westin at the Domain.
