DALLAS/February 22, 2012—Responding to market interest, Assess Systems has created assessments for management positions designed specifically for the casual dining industry. These assessments enable a paperless and scientifically rigorous process for predicting quality of hire.
The assessments not only increase quality of hire, but are designed to decrease time to hire, and help reduce turnover by more accurately predicting job fit. The assessments are based on years of experience assessing restaurant managers and validated using data from leaders in the industry. The team at Assess Systems created these assessments for three positions: general manager, assistant manager and kitchen manager. Their goal was to provide hiring managers with a comprehensive set of predictive measures—related to work style, leadership, interpersonal style, and decision-making—incorporating competency-based results.
Recognizing the importance of candidate experience, Assess Systems has created an engaging online survey engine that begins with a welcome page. Clients can customize this page with avatars and videos if desired. Hiring managers receive assessment results online, and they can be integrated with the client’s talent management system. These reports enable them to not only determine whom to interview, but how to interview them more insightfully. Assessment results are delivered with appropriate behavior-based interview questions, as well as additional follow-up questions based on individual results.
“These new assessments fill an industry need by expanding our offerings in the hospitality market and are representative of our partnership approach with clients,” said Scott McTague, director, consulting services of Assess Systems. “We don’t just hand our clients an assessment and leave. We work to understand their entire selection process and culture, with as much or as little support as needed, to ensure the best possible results.”
