International awards recognize white paper on sales team assessment
DALLAS, July 21, 2010—Assess Systems has received an APEX Award for the white paper, “Optimizing the Sales Gene: Selecting and Developing Top-Performing Salespeople.” The paper received an APEX Award for Publication Excellence in the Special Purpose Writing category.
This year marked the 22nd annual awards for this international competition for writers, editors and publication staff, as well as business and nonprofit communicators. There were more than 3,700 entries, with 11 main categories and 127 subcategories.
APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The awards are presented by “Writing that Works” magazine, based in Springfield, Virginia.
“Optimizing the Sales Gene” details how innate sales ability makes a dramatic difference in performance when combined with knowledge and skills. Sales organizations can capitalize on sales genetics by using assessments to measure innate talent and applying the results to the sales team selection and development process.
“Our organizational psychologists have decades of experience studying the sales personality,” said JoAnn McMillan, Ph.D., Assess Systems’ chief operating officer. “We worked hard to infuse the white paper with that depth of knowledge, to clearly communicate the importance of assessing for innate capability. We are gratified by this acknowledgement from communication professionals.”
