To select the top workplaces, The Baltimore Sun partnered with Workplace Dynamics, conducting surveys with thousands of companies throughout the Baltimore region. “The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. During the survey, Berkshire employees were asked several questions about the company and its benefits. One employee stated, “The work is varied, interesting, and challenging. My manager is helpful and always available for questions. Employees work hard here and are very client-focused. Fellow co-workers are supportive.”
