San Francisco-based Blogging4Jobs, which provides insights and content about human resources, recruiting, job search, and leadership for the business and human capital management industry is named as a Forbes’ Top 100 Career Website in the month’s edition of the magazine.
Forbes’ Top 100 Career Websites also includes such sites as Monster, SimplyHired, Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor.
Blogging4Jobs is an online workplace resource for managers, leaders, human resources, and recruiting professionals. They take their audience to “uncomfortable, yet necessary,” places exposing them to the realities of the workplace without the “corporate sugar coating.”
The site was launched in 2007 with a goal of helping job seekers learn the unwritten rules of job searching. The site has since expanded with more than 20 regular writers and offers insights into the world of work from a corporate and operations no-nonsense point of view.
“Not only are we listed amongst powerhouses in the HR and recruiting industry, but the list includes a few blogs who are offering unique viewpoints from current practitioners in the space,” said Blogging4Jobs’s Community Manager, Blake McCammon.
In early August, Forbes put out a call for nominations for the inaugural list of the best career websites, inspired by ForbesWoman’s annual list of Top 100 Websites For Women.
Readers submitted comments, emails and tweets with roughly 2,000 websites, which is near triple the submission count from the previous year. Forbes then hand-picked their top 100 choices, which is an expansion of the 75 sites from the previous year.
“Blogging4Jobs has strived to be a place where practitioners can share their thoughts on the best career, human relations, and job search tips and we are honored to be listed for the second year in a row,” says Blogging4Jobs Author and owner Jessica Miller-Merrell, who is also a national and international speaker on workplace technology and human resources issues.
