BUSINESSOLVER OPENS NEW SATELLITE OFFICE IN IOWA CITY

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (September 11, 2017)–Businessolver, a leader in SaaS-based benefits administration technology, today announced the opening of its satellite office in Iowa City, Iowa. Located approximately 110 miles from headquarters in West Des Moines, the new 18,000 square-foot worksite currently accommodates 74 employees, with room to expand.

Iowa City will serve as a satellite operating center for Businessolver’s Participant Services and Client Services teams. The new space adds to Businessolver’s footprint across the U.S., with regional hubs in Denver, Charlotte, and Seattle, and headquarters in West Des Moines.

Similar to its other locations, Businessolver’s holistic approach to employee well-being will shape the culture in Iowa City; employees at the site will be treated to free catered meals, ample parking, open lounge areas, and onsite security. Housed on the first floor at 2834 Northgate Drive, the Iowa City office is located just off Dodge Street, convenient to local roadways for reduced commute times.

Unique to Iowa City, the office includes one study hall area, a nod to the student interns that Businessolver draws from the University of Iowa, located just 10 minutes away. University of Iowa ranks No. 11 among the nation’s top 25 schools for HR degrees, and among the top 50 schools for Computer Science degrees. Businessolver’s Iowa City site will tap into the talent market among new graduates; the office will serve as another key location for its award-winning Launch program for new hires, along with its Professional Development and Intern Programs, both of which offer technology, career, and culture training for new professionals to support Businessolver’s talent recruitment and engagement strategy.

The Iowa City location will also allow Businessolver to attract established HR technology professionals among the many already working in the local area, as well as those who are completing their MBA at University of Iowa (ranked among the top 50 MBA programs nationwide).

“Although I did attend Iowa State University, I can’t think of a better reason to put my alumni loyalty aside than to welcome new talented and passionate Solvers to Iowa City,” said Jon Shanahan, Businessolver founder, CEO and President. “Iowa City is expanding its already deep roots as a center for business and HR talent, and we’re looking forward to supporting Businessolver’s continued growth with the city’s best and brightest there.”
