Chris Gardner Joins Assess Systems as Chief Technology Officer

DALLAS, June 19, 2012—Assess Systems has chosen Chris Gardner to fill the newly created position of chief technology officer. Gardner is the latest addition to the executive leadership team, an addition reflective of the company’s growth and plans for accelerated technology innovation.

Gardner will bring his technical and leadership skills and experience to Assess Systems’ technology team to accelerate technology innovation in Assess’ suite of talent selection and development systems. The company will evolve and deliver the platform to meet next-generation market demands for candidate assessments and employee development.

Gardner has experience managing a portfolio of technology solutions in the human resources industry, having spent the last 12 years developing technology to help corporate HR professionals address their unique business processes. He led a large technology team at Mercer responsible for the development and operation of the company’s Health and Welfare Benefits Administration Outsourcing platforms. His experience includes driving new multi-million dollar technology investments and optimizing existing business and technology processes for quality and efficiency at Mercer, Texas Instruments, and Raytheon.

Gardner has consistently demonstrated strong leadership competencies throughout his career, ascending to positions of increasing IT and management responsibility with previous employers. Having directed several large strategic investments, he is a business leader with a focus on technology rather than solely a technology leader. Gardner graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
