HealthcareSource Ranks #1 in Overall Vendor Performance in 2013 Talent Management Report

Woburn, MA – June 25, 2013 – HealthcareSource(R), the leading provider of talent management solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced that it has been ranked number one in overall vendor performance in the KLAS Research report Talent Management 2013: The Journey has Begun. HealthcareSource was also named category leader for talent management in the 2012 and 2011 Best in KLAS reports, each of the years KLAS has covered this category.

With an overall rating of 86.8, more than 5 points higher than its closest competitor, HealthcareSource achieved the highest client satisfaction in areas of applicant tracking and learning. Reported as “…friendly and easy to use, the company is seen as cost-efficient and responsive to customer needs.”

HealthcareSource exceeded its competitors in key performance ratings for ease of use, product quality, quality of support and overall satisfaction. Among those ranked, it is the only vendor rated “well above average” for money’s worth. Additionally, more than 84% of clients surveyed indicate that HealthcareSource has had a moderate or significant impact on employee performance/productivity.

In the report, KLAS notes that the top-reported benefit for HealthcareSource clients is “saved time for providers and applicants, which increased the speed of the hiring process and made it easier to track applications and send them for review to multiple managers.” Some clients report that HealthcareSource “improves their applicant pool, as the system saves applicants’ job interests and notifies applicants as applicable jobs become available.” A performance management client said, “Now that we have everything in one system, the confidentiality is secured, we are meeting all of the appropriate regulatory requirements for protected personal information, and we are able to easily communicate back and forth with managers and do reviews.” Another client said, “We can do tracking and statistical reports. We can also do sourcing when looking at candidates that weren’t originally selected, and that saves on advertising dollars.”

KLAS’ research also shows that HealthcareSource clients are the most likely of any vendor to be using the behavior and skills assessment tool for applicants. Clients felt that by using employee assessments they are able to make “better, more-informed hiring decisions, and kept application information safer and more confidential.” One client said, “We need to know that information before we blow $30,000 on orientation and onboarding costs. We use the questions to look for warning signs that a person won’t end up staying.”

Learning is another key area where HealthcareSource excels since its acquisition of NetLearning in December 2012. The top-reported benefit by most LMS clients is convenience and flexibility for employees to fulfill education training requirements. One HealthcareSource client said, “The system has increased our ability to train people in many different arenas at many different times.” Another client said, “We have very good compliance with it from year to year. Because of requirements, people have to complete the education in order to have a good performance review each year. People know that, and that might be motivating them to get their learning done.”

KLAS’ mission is to improve the delivery of healthcare technology by independently measuring and reporting on vendor performance. KLAS data and reports represent the combined opinions of actual people from provider organizations comparing how their vendors, products, and/or services performed when measured against participants’ objectives and expectations.
