Aurora, ON, Canada – HR.com, the largest social network for Human Resources Executives and innovator of the annual LEAD2016 Forum, has added a corporate social responsibility effort and partnership with Save the Children and International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) to support World Leadership Day on February 3rd. That same day, HR.com will be broadcasting a “Live Aid”-like event globally from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, TN.
HR.com is calling on individuals, companies, and organizations to assist by using this live event to help raise money, donations, or awareness for 6M refugee children in camps or for resettling a family into Canada. Social gifting has never been as easy or fun as it is now with the STAND app. Interested people can download the app, create a STAND for Save the Children, and invite friends, family and co-workers to STAND with them.
Additional efforts by HR.com to help organizations that are looking to offer more support for the Refugees include:
1. The development of a volunteer community app to bring people together in local communities to help raise awareness and funds to support refugees. This app has:
a. a social update feature to keep community members updated to educate and inform them on local community efforts about events, fundraisers and support needed.
b. a “gift registry system” where users can donate items and time required to resettle a family.
c. a central donation button (with an instant charitable tax receipt) that directs the funds to be kept in the local community to resettle a family (IDRF) or to help children in refugee camps (Save the Children).
d. An invite button to invite others into the community.
2. The upcoming launch of a resume database of the largest available talent pool, accessing more than 6M people in refugee camps, enabling companies to search for candidates with high demand skills.
3. The creation of an online learning course to help people understand the process of “sponsoring a family into Canada”.
Interested parties can contact HR.com at 877.472.6648 or email sales@hr.com to inquire about how to help celebrate World Leadership Day. “It’s important right now for all communities to join together to make an impact on the global refugee crisis. In particular, employers now have the opportunity to allow employees at all levels to participate and be engaged, while listening to inspiring leadership stories and doing great things for the people in need,” stated Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com.
LEAD2016 will bring leaders from across business, industry, and education together to connect with one another and witness life-changing speakers and entertainers.
