HKTDC Education & Careers Expo 2026 to Showcase 860+ Organizations, New CV Clinic Services

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host the 35th Education & Careers Expo from January 22 to 25, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, with free public admission, will feature separate "Education" and "Careers" sections, drawing participation from more than 860 organizations across 23 countries and regions, including government bureaus, tertiary institutions, and education centers.

This year's Expo introduces enhanced services at its "CV Clinic," including Personal Colour Analysis, the 16 Personality Types Magic Quiz, one-to-one career consultations, and an Aptitude Test Ready Station. These additions aim to help job seekers better understand their strengths and plan career paths. The CV Clinic also offers one-to-one CV consultations, professional CV portrait photography by Jobsdb, and career consultation by MT20 Consulting Limited. Job seekers can reserve these services in advance via the Education & Careers Expo website.

HKTDC Assistant Executive Director Smilely Lam stated the Expo's theme, "Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits," aligns with four key areas: Civil Servants & Public Services, Next Gen Technologies, Healthcare & Wellness, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities. Special seminars will inspire university and overseas students to explore employment and development opportunities in Hong Kong, showcasing the advantages of local institutions' diverse courses and international recognition. The "Careers" section provides a platform for government departments, public institutions, and businesses to recruit talent, supporting Hong Kong's development as an international hub for high-caliber talent.

The Expo hosts a series of themed talks and seminars, including "A Date with Giants" featuring representatives from enterprises like J.P. Morgan and Lenovo, to encourage students from neighboring regions to pursue further studies and career opportunities in Hong Kong. The China Hong Kong Elite Union will invite "Hong Kong Drifters," mainland Chinese students studying in Hong Kong, to share their experiences from education to employment. Additionally, the principal of Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College will join alumni to share tips for achieving top results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination.

The "Education" section is divided into four zones: "Local Studies," "Non-Hong Kong Education," "Lifelong Learning," and "Youth Zone." Highlights include the SOPHIE 8x model, developed by the Vocational Training Council's Engineering Discipline and winner of the World Solar Challenge, showcased to demonstrate how courses nurture technology talent. The Hong Kong Institute of Construction will present immersive learning experiences like the "AI Tower Crane Simulator," using AI technology to simulate construction site environments. Institutions will also introduce new application-oriented programs, such as robotics and automation engineering, to meet global demand for technology-related talent.

The "Non-Hong Kong Education" zone offers study abroad advisory services covering Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Belt and Road countries, while the "Lifelong Learning" and "Youth Zone" sections provide further education and industry information for professionals, career switchers, and young people. Organizations like the Employees Retraining Board will introduce skills training programs, and the Professional Communication Association will share insights on public speaking and job interview techniques.

On the employment front, the "Careers" and "Recruitment Square" zones offer diverse career pathways, with over 30 government departments and public organizations setting up booths. During the Expo, four themed days will feature over 100 activities with industry experts sharing insights on innovation and technology, public service careers, and working holiday programs. Notable speakers include singer-songwriter Serrini, film directors, and Radio DJ "Ah Jeng." Visitors can also enjoy the "Instant Career Snapshot" AI photo experience and receive complimentary souvenirs.
