HR.com's HR Research Institute (HRRI) has announced the formation of its 2027 Talent Acquisition Advisory Board, bringing together a diverse group of seasoned HR and talent acquisition (TA) professionals. This board will guide upcoming research and a virtual event centered on the evolving talent acquisition landscape, with the goal of delivering practical insights to HR leaders as they navigate future hiring challenges.

The research will focus on how organizations assess the effectiveness of their talent acquisition functions, the obstacles they face, and the strategies, technologies, tools, and metrics they employ to attract and hire talent. Additionally, it will explore the impact of modern technology on both candidate and recruiter experiences, a critical area as automation and AI reshape recruitment processes.

“This new board brings together deep expertise that will be instrumental in ensuring this research delivers practical, actionable insights for HR and talent acquisition leaders as they prepare for what’s next,” said Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com, in a statement.

The research will also examine evolving hiring needs, TA priorities, and the role of automation and emerging technologies, while identifying practices that correlate with stronger outcomes. These insights will inform a corresponding virtual event, the Future of Talent Acquisition 2027 Virtual Event, scheduled for January 27, 2027, and offered free to the HR community.

The newly formed advisory board includes a range of experts from various sectors: Julia Aybin, Senior Recruiting Manager at Rippling; Talia Edmundson, Founder and Principal of HRnB Consulting; Brian Gilbert, Head of Global Talent Acquisition at Nova Biomedical; Keirsten Greggs, Founder and Principal Talent Acquisition Consultant; Steve Levy, Global Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Expert; Hannah Miller, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at St. Francis Health System; Tara Turk-Haynes, VP of People and Talent at Equity Activations; and Emily Walsh, Nurse Recruiter at UMC Health System.

The HR Research Institute regularly publishes annual “State of the Industry” reports across numerous HR topics. Last year's report, HR.com’s Future of Talent Acquisition 2026, provided a comprehensive analysis of TA trends, and the new research aims to build on that foundation with fresh data and insights.

These research reports and infographics are available for free download at hr.com/researchinstitute. The HR Research Institute, powered by HR.com, identifies key trends and best practices to assist more than 2 million HR professionals and their organizations in making strategic decisions based on informed and insightful research findings.

By convening this advisory board, HR.com underscores its commitment to providing timely, relevant research that helps HR leaders adapt to the rapidly changing world of work. As talent acquisition becomes increasingly complex, with new technologies and shifting workforce expectations, this initiative aims to equip professionals with the knowledge needed to succeed.
