JobApp Network Ranks No. 541 on the 2012 Inc. 500|5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 692%
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan — August 27, 2012 — Inc. magazine ranked JobApp Network, Inc. 541 on its sixth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s high-growth, agile and entrepreneurial small- and medium-sized enterprises. JobApp joins Yelp, yogurt maker Chobani, Giftcards.com, KIND and famed hatmaker Tilly’s, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.
“JobApp Network’s team has done a phenomenal job establishing a track record of client value, innovation and customer service,” said Richard Helppie, Chairman of JobApp Network, Inc. “When Vineyard Capital Group formed JobApp Network in 2007 we believed that the company was in the right business, had a solid technology base, and that its cloud-computing model was the right one for growth. We have been pleased with the results since then.”
JobApp Network is an end-to-end web- and IVR-based talent management solution that helps organizations with large, decentralized workforces to improve the talent selection process, streamline the hiring process, strengthen HR compliance, eliminate paper from HR and capture government hiring incentives. Once an employee is hired, the company is able to push HR data to a variety of POS, payroll or ERP systems and deliver e-learning and employee performance management tools.
Chief Executive Officer Blake Helppie stated, “Having grown our revenue base by nearly 10 times during the weak economic period of 2008-2011 is powerful evidence of JobApp’s long-term viability, innovation and excellence. While many talent management vendors saw a drastic decline in growth rates over this period, JobApp rapidly added to its client base, product platform and to its predominantly Michigan-based team.” Vice President of Sales Ken Lang adds, “In 2012 year-to-date, JobApp has almost tripled its pace of new client acquisition relative to the same period in 2011, having added well over 1,000 client locations in each of the first two quarters of 2012.” Chief Financial Officer Jim House echoes these comments and applauds his partners; “JobApp’s annual growth rate for 2012 of over 50% speaks to the commitment of our team. We focus on customer delivery and have a CAGR of 60% over the last three years to show for it.”
In a stagnant economic environment, the median growth rate of 2012 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 97 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $299 billion.
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000. “Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
About the Methodology
The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2011. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2008 is $100,000; the minimum for 2011 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.
