The AMPC study focuses specifically on labor productivity, which is defined as the revenue produced per full-time employee or full-time employee equivalent in 2009. The study only includes American organizations. To determine which companies were the most productive, the Profiles Research Institute analyzed financial data from over 2,200 publicly traded companies. A series of comprehensive studies were conducted on each company listed in the AMPC study, to identify the “best practices” exhibited by each organization.
