Pittsburgh, 5.31.13 – Esteban Tristan, Ph.D., Safety Practice Manager and Senior Consultant at Select International will present at the Joseph A. Holmes Safety Association 2013 National Meeting and Training Seminar in Virginia Beach June 4-6.
Tristan will lead a discussion focused on the topic of, “The Psychology of Safety: Using Safety DNA to Hire & Develop a Safer Workforce,” which will provide an overview of the latest research in predicting workplace injuries by focusing on each employee’s individual Safety DNA. He will also define the term “Safety DNA” and discuss how recent advances in psychometric testing make it possible to measure an employee’s Safety DNA in order to develop a safer workforce and hire employees who will engage in safer behaviors that support a strong safety culture.
The three-day conference is being held at the Holiday Inn & Suites, Virginia Beach. This meeting will provide a variety of safety and health workshops presented by experts from around the U.S.
“We believe better safety starts with the individual,” Tristan said. “And when people look at safety within individuals, results begin to occur and organizations reach their safety goals. We’re excited to bring this idea to this conference.”
