Spectrum Employees Join 50,000 to Race for the Cure

This is the fifth year Spectrum has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®.

DENVER, COLO. – SPECTRUM Human Resource Systems Corporation is proud to have participated once again in Denver’s local Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. An enthusiastic team from Spectrum joined over 50,000 participants on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 for the 18th annual Denver Race for the Cure event.

Since 1993, when Race for the Cure held its first Denver event, over $25 million has been raised and distributed to local Denver nonprofit organizations to fund breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. In 2009 alone, Denver’s Race for the Cure event raised over $2 million. Spectrum is proud to have participated since 2006.

Spectrum encourages its employees to give back to their community by sponsoring several philanthropic events throughout the year. Prior to the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a team of employees participated in the March of Dimes 2010 Mudd Volleyball tournament. This event annually raises over $200,000 for the March of Dimes, allowing them to continue to improve the health of babies.

“We at Spectrum believe it is important for our workforce to achieve both personal and professional growth. By supporting reputable charitable organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure and March of Dimes, we can help employees give back to our community while helping those in need,” says Sybll Romley, president and CEO of Spectrum.
