Chicago, IL, December 10, 2009 – Vangent, Inc., a leading provider of results-oriented human capital and talent management solutions, announced that Dr. John Jones, Vice President and Chief Scientist of Vangent, Inc. was chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Test Publishers (ATP). The ATP is the premier organization representing the test publishing industry (e.g., assessment, selection, screening, certification, licensing, educational, and clinical) in North America, Europe, and globally.
Dr. Jones is one of the well-respected authorities on assessments and hiring and, in his more than 25 years as a scientist and practitioner, has published numerous articles and books on employment testing, and presented research at a wide range of industry conferences. In his current role at Vangent, he serves as the principal thought leader in the research, development, and delivery of the company’s assessment solutions portfolio. Dr. Jones helped establish ATP in 1992, and acted as past Chair of both ATP’s Industrial Division and the Standards Committee. Earlier this year, Dr. Jones was acknowledged with the ATP 2009 Professional Contributions and Service to Testing Award.

Dr. Jones received his Ph.D. in applied psychology from DePaul University and his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a licensed psychologist in both Illinois and Virginia. He will be serving a two-year term of office on the ATP Board which will commence in 2010.
