The Leadership Institute for Military Spouses (LIMS) has announced the opening of applications for its second 2025 cohort of the Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP). This initiative is tailored to enhance the leadership and community service skills of military spouses, providing them with the tools needed to become influential leaders within their communities. The program's curriculum covers essential areas such as meta-leadership, crisis management, conflict resolution, communication, and mental health, ensuring participants are well-equipped to handle various challenges.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a leadership certificate from Harvard University's National Preparedness Leadership Initiative and a Mental Health Ally certificate from Psych Hub. This recognition not only validates their skills but also enhances their professional profiles, opening up new opportunities for career advancement and community engagement. The program is open to spouses of currently serving U.S. military members from any branch, including Reserves, Guard, post-9/11 Gold Star Spouses, Surviving Spouses, Caregivers, and Spouses of Veterans or Retirees, accommodating 50 participants in a free, global, and virtual format.
Graduates of the program will gain access to the Military Spouse Alumni Network, fostering a supportive community for continued learning and networking. This initiative underscores the importance of recognizing and nurturing the leadership potential within military spouse communities, as highlighted by MSAN Founder and CEO Verenice Castillo. Supported by the Car Donation Foundation's Vehicles for Veterans, the program represents a significant step towards empowering military spouses to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
