Affordable American Insurance Appoints Sandeep Gupta to Board of Directors

Affordable American Insurance (AAI), a scaled insurance agency network platform, has announced the appointment of Sandeep Gupta to its Board of Directors. The move, effective immediately, brings a seasoned insurance executive with extensive experience in strategic partnerships and operations to the company's leadership team.

Gupta most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Keystone Agency Partners and previously held the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Strategic Partnerships at Liberty Mutual Insurance. At Liberty Mutual, he managed third-party partnerships for the company's $22 billion Global Retail Markets US business unit, overseeing sourcing, optimization, and account management of large property and casualty agencies and affinities, which delivered more than $1 billion in premium annually.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sandeep to our Board of Directors,” said Chris Fernandez, AAI’s President & CEO. “His insight, strategic mindset, and dedication to excellence align perfectly with our vision for the future. We look forward to the impact he will make as we continue to grow and evolve.”

The appointment underscores AAI's commitment to strengthening its leadership as it expands its national footprint. As a board member, Gupta will work with AAI's executive team to guide strategic initiatives and support long-term value creation for agents, partners, and stakeholders.

AAI, founded in 2005, operates as a platform that supports independent property and casualty agencies, providing centralized operational, legal, and technology support, access to a national array of carrier appointments, enhanced commission economics, and profit-sharing programs. The platform serves agencies across approximately 40 states and also runs a Retail Agency Division that writes and services its own book of business. More information is available at www.insuranceAAI.com.

Gupta's appointment comes at a time when the independent agency channel is facing increased competition from direct writers and InsurTechs. His background in managing large-scale partnerships and operations could help AAI differentiate itself by offering more value to its network of agencies. By enhancing its board with experienced leaders like Gupta, AAI is positioning itself to navigate industry challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.

The addition of Gupta to the board is also notable given his experience at Liberty Mutual, one of the largest property and casualty insurers in the United States. His understanding of carrier-agency dynamics could prove valuable as AAI works to strengthen relationships with its carrier partners and expand its network.

For AAI, which has been steadily growing its presence across the country, having a board member with Gupta's expertise could help the company refine its strategic direction, particularly in areas such as partnership development and operational efficiency. The company has not disclosed any immediate changes to its business strategy but indicated that Gupta's insights would support its mission to deliver exceptional service and innovative insurance solutions.
