The Platform Group Expands C-Level Leadership with Promotions in HR and Marketing

The Platform Group SE & Co. KGaA, a European software company specializing in platform solutions, has announced the expansion of its C-level leadership team through two internal promotions, reflecting its preparation for significant growth and international expansion. Nathalie Richert, formerly Head of Investor Relations, has been elevated to the C-level and will additionally oversee the Human Resources function. Christoph Hies, a six-year veteran of the company, has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, taking charge of group-wide marketing activities.

Richert's dual role underscores the increasing strategic importance of HR as the company scales. “Our group will soon grow to more than 2,000 employees, making the HR function increasingly central,” she stated. She also affirmed her commitment to strengthening Investor Relations activities. The company's corporate website, corporate.the-platform-group.com, provides further details on its operations.

Hies highlighted the evolution of the company's marketing strategy, noting, “For the past six years, we have continuously developed and expanded TPG's marketing activities. We are now active in more than 26 industries where we pursue our marketing approach.” He expressed enthusiasm for further integrating marketing at the leadership level and applying this approach to new acquisitions, aligning with the company's ongoing internationalization efforts.

The rest of the leadership team remains unchanged: Christoph Wilhelmy as COO, Sven Schumann as CPM, Bjoern Minnier overseeing M&A and Finance, Sven Hulsenbeck as CTO, Frederic von Borries as CPO, and Dr. Dominik Benner as CEO. Dr. Benner connected the leadership changes to broader strategic goals, stating, “We are executing on our commitments: advancing internationalization as outlined for 2025, further strengthening our leadership team, and laying the foundation for a highly successful 2026.” He expressed confidence based on current developments in the first quarter of 2026.

The Platform Group operates across Europe with proprietary platform solutions in 26 industries, including luxury, optics & hearing, furniture retail, machinery trading, dental technology, and electronics. It boasts a partner network of over 16,000 partners serving both B2B and B2C customers across 19 locations. According to preliminary figures, the company achieved revenue of 728 million euros in 2025, with an adjusted EBITDA of 55 million euros.

For HR vendors, this leadership restructuring signals that The Platform Group is prioritizing HR and marketing as it scales its workforce and expands geographically. The appointment of a C-level HR leader indicates a growing focus on talent management and employee experience, which could drive demand for HR technology solutions. Additionally, the marketing promotion suggests an increased emphasis on brand integration across diverse industries, potentially creating opportunities for vendors specializing in employer branding and recruitment marketing. As the company targets over 2,000 employees, its need for scalable HR systems, learning platforms, and performance management tools is likely to intensify.
