CLEVELAND / June 16, 2010 — EmployeeScreenIQ will have a big presence at the 2010 SHRM Conference and Expo in San Diego, California, with an expo booth, a speaking presentation and the release of a new trends survey report.
The global employment background screening provider will be at booth #1023 during the June 27-30 conference, which draws about 12,000 professionals in the HR and benefits space. The company will conduct podcasts and discuss screening services and criminal background checks; visitors will be able to enter a prize drawing for two Apple iPads.
EmployeeScreenIQ will also unveil the results of its 2010 “Trends in Employment Background Screening” survey — which covers emerging issues related to criminal checks, diploma mills, social networking, credit checks, employment history fraud and more. More than 600 HR professionals responded to the survey and a limited number of copies will be available at the booth.
Jason B. Morris, president and chief operating officer, will also speak about the dangers of using social networking sites to screen job applicants. “Social Networking Sites: Can You Always Trust What You See?” is the title of his presentation on Monday, June 28, at 4 p.m. (PST) at the San Diego Convention Center. The 75-minute session will explain how recruiters and HR professionals can protect their company in the age of Facebook and other services.
Keynote speakers at the 2010 conference include Al Gore, former vice president and the world’s leading voice of climate control, and Steve Forbes, president and chief executive officer of Forbes, Inc. and editor of Forbes magazine.
