SafeGuard World International (SGWI), a leading provider of global payroll and global employment outsourcing, continues to strengthen its partnership with Workday, the leader in SaaS-based enterprise solutions for global human resources, payroll and financial management.
In May, 2010, SGWI and Workday formed a formal partnership and delivered a packaged integration, a pre-configured interface between Workday’s Cloud Connect for Third-party Payroll and SGWI’s Global Payroll Management System (GPMS); a multi-tenant SaaS based application.
The integration, now live in almost 50 countries, enables data that is contained within Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) to be integrated into SGWI’s GPMS system–a web-based payroll system that manages the data flow between Workday, SGWI and local processors, and then enables consolidated global reporting of international people costs.
Operationally, a file of data is generated and securely sent from Workday to SGWI’s GPMS system for every country in scope without the need to map individual data items. By having a single Global HCM system working seamlessly with a single Global Payroll Management System, the need for duplicate keying of data is eliminated, thereby reducing risk of errors and improving accuracy. The pre-built integration lowers the cost and eases the burden of integrating Workday’s HCM into GPMS, as the complex work of understanding in country data requirements is taken care of by Workday and SGWI. This two-way integration provides visibility into the true cost of your global workforce.
Bjorn Reynolds, Founder and CEO of SGWI commented, “By successfully deploying the integration we built with Workday across 50 countries for numerous mutual clients, we are delighted with what we have achieved as a team. The combination of Workday and SafeGuard World International’s global payroll solutions are helping clients achieve integration between their global HR system of record and payroll systems, streamlining processes, and increasing efficiencies. Pre-built integrations are the way forward for companies to leverage commercial value from technology without the need to build bespoke interfaces across their organization.”
“SafeGuard World International has provided a great solution for our customers with global payroll needs,” said Jeff Pulver, vice president, business development at Workday. “We appreciate SafeGuard World’s dedication to quality and ensuring customer success.”
