Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP), an entity of WorldatWork that defines and recognizes innovation, best practices and work-life thought leadership, recently announced the recipient of the AWLP Work-Life Rising Star Recognition Award. Now in its fourth year, the AWLP Work-Life Rising Star recognizes stellar professionals who exhibit a combination of professional and personal attributes that demonstrate emerging leadership and growing contributions to the work-life community. The recipient will be acknowledged publicly at an awards ceremony during the WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference & Exhibition to be held in Grapevine, Texas, on May 18.
This year, one professional has been selected as an AWLP Work-Life Rising Star:
Maggie Stimming, M.A., CWPM (Certified Wellness Program Manager) is a Sr. Work/Life Consultant in Human Resources Administration at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Stimming has dedicated the past 14 years to Human Resources Administration. In 2003, she became the first person to fill the work-life position at IUPUI. Stimming manages IUPUI’s work-life programs with a focus on inclusiveness; creativity; high-quality, practical information and programming; and collaboration with partners.
“We are proud to honor Maggie Stimming as an AWLP Work-Life Rising Star,” said Kathie Lingle, executive director of AWLP. “Maggie is a stellar, up-and-coming professional who embodies passion for change, for work and for life.”
As this year’s Work-Life Rising Star, Stimming will be joining a growing cadre of peers who are evolving into the next generation of work-life leadership. She will have the opportunity to enhance her career in work-life through exposure to leaders in total rewards strategy as well as a variety of activities for professional development. She will also be involved in the selection and mentoring of subsequent years’ Rising Stars.
