FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Columbia, MD—June 09, 2011, Berkshire Associates Inc., a leading human resource consulting and technology firm, announces Beth Ronnenburg, SPHR, to succeed Founder, Dawn S. Hyde, SPHR, as President effective June 1, 2011.

An influential figure in the HR industry for nearly three decades, Dawn S. Hyde is best known for breaking new ground in affirmative action planning technology. In the mid 1990’s Hyde created GREAT AAP—a software application that automated the affirmative action planning process. She transformed what was once a painstaking manual task for human resource professionals, into an easier, more efficient process. She also offered quality plan preparation services to companies who simply wanted to outsource their compliance efforts. Part of Hyde’s success was the courage to use new technology to move her ideas forward. Hyde’s innovative spirit eventually led to the evolution of GREAT AAP into BALANCEworks, a suite of products to include compensation analyses, and web-based applications for adverse impact analyses, affirmative action planning, and applicant tracking. As a result of her unwavering dedication to customer service, and her willingness to embrace new technology, Berkshire is now one of the leading affirmative action vendors in the nation. She will hand over the reins to Beth Ronnenburg who will continue her legacy of smart growth and innovation.

Beth Ronnenburg started at Berkshire as a consultant in 1996, and was promoted to Manager of Client Services in 1999. She excelled in her position and advanced to Vice President of Client Services and Business Administration in 2006. As a protégée of Hyde’s over the years, Ronnenburg possesses the strong leadership, operational, and management skills needed to continue Berkshire’s plans for success and profitability.

Upon taking her new position, Beth Ronnenburg commented, “Being named President of Berkshire is truly an honor. Having worked with Dawn for over fifteen years, I can say with confidence I have learned from the best, and I look forward to continuing Berkshire’s legacy as a leading HR software and services provider.”

Like her predecessor, Ronnenburg will use her background as an HR professional, paired with her keen business sense to escalate Berkshire’s market position, maintain a competitive edge, and ensure sustainable growth. Ronnenburg will have a broad range of strategic and fiscal responsibilities, including ensuring all lines of business operate effectively. She holds a Masters degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from The Johns Hopkins University, and is currently President of the Maryland Association of Affirmative Action Officers (MAAAO).

Ronnenburg added, “Leadership has changed hands, but the day-to-day operations and our commitment to quality service will remain the same. We will continue to put our clients first—meeting their needs will always be Berkshire’s number one priority.”
