BestCompaniesAZ Now Enrolling Sponsors for 2nd Annual Diversity & Inclusion Career Event September 26 at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (July 18, 2016) – BestCompaniesAZ is now enrolling corporate sponsors for its 2nd Annual Diversity & Inclusion Career Event, being held on September 26 at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, 122 North Second St., Phoenix, AZ, 85004, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

To be eligible for participation, sponsoring companies must have programs in place that support diversity and/or have earned at least one prestigious state or national workplace award. Most employers have earned many workplace honors, such as Diversity Inc.’s Top 50, Arizona’s Most Admired Companies, azcentral.com’s Top Companies to Work for in Arizona, Arizona’s Best Companies to Watch, FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For(R) in America, among others. Interested companies should contact Denise Gredler, BestCompaniesAZ at 480-545-5151 or email dgredler(at)bestcompaniesAZ.com for sponsorship information.

This career event is one of three annual hiring events hosted by BestCompaniesAZ, in partnership with Career Connectors. Sponsoring companies receive promotion prior to and during the event through website profiles, social media, blogging, email promotions, story-telling (employee testimonials), magazine ads and publicity opportunities with local media. Hiring companies also receive the list and resumes of qualified candidates generated by the event.

Each event typically attracts high-growth corporate sponsors that are either headquartered in Arizona, or have a strong regional presence within the state. BestCompaniesAZ Career Events offer job seekers hundreds of open positions, at all levels, in the fields of finance, IT, healthcare, customer service/client relations, sales and hospitality. The format of each event allows recruiters and company representatives to meet with candidates and share information about careers, corporate culture, employee resource groups and the range of available opportunities.

Featured BestCompaniesAZ clients and event sponsors this year include: Charles Schwab, Dignity Health in Arizona, Synchrony Financial, USAA, Progrexion, GoDaddy, Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Vanguard, and more. Also leading up to and on-site at each event, the nonprofit Career Connectors offers free coaching and resume services to job candidates.

Gay Meyer, assistant vice president of human resource operations at the Phoenix Campus of USAA, a company that has won numerous state and national workplace awards, stated, “Promoting a corporate culture of diversity and inclusion makes USAA stronger and helps us provide exceptional member service and innovative solutions for our members and their families.” She adds, “Diversity and inclusion are essential components of USAA’s business strategy for competitive advantage. Diversity is not just about race and gender. It encompasses the collective strength of unique characteristics, experiences, skills, backgrounds, perspectives and cultures.”

“BestCompaniesAZ Career Events are unlike other job fairs, because we only feature award-winning companies and promote them through a variety of avenues highlighting their company cultures, diversity hiring initiatives, employee resource groups, awards and career opportunities prior to the event to attract diverse candidates. We also partner with diversity groups to get the message out to a wide variety of audiences,” says Denise Gredler, Founder & CEO BestCompaniesAZ. “It’s a win-win for everyone. Companies find a terrific pool of candidates at our events, and job seekers are meeting one-on-one with Arizona’s most prestigious employers in a warm, friendly, networking environment,” said Gredler. Over the past year, BestCompaniesAZ has received more than 1,000 resumes from passive and active job seekers looking to work for one of Arizona’s best employers.
