Cincinnati Event on Hiring and Employee Assessments Receives Approval for HRCI Credits

The educational workshop, “Identifying, Selecting, & Developing Top Talent: Proven Methods from Industry Leaders,” was recently pre-approved for 3.75 (General) recertification credits through the HR Certification Institute. The half-day seminar, sponsored by Select International, will take place at the Millennium Hotel on Wednesday, May 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Below is a summary of the event’s featured speakers and the topics they will cover:

• Timothy Massa, Vice President Corporate HR at Kroger, and Dawn Gilmore, Manager of Talent and Performance at Kroger, will discuss how Kroger has infused behavior-based discussions within their organization and the delivery methods they employ when training interviewers.

• Michael Hoseus, former Toyota corporate leader, founder of the Center for Quality People and Organizations, and co-author of the bestselling book, The Toyota Culture: The Heart and Soul of the Toyota Way, will discuss how organizations from all industries can learn from Toyota’s approach to a lean, people-centric culture and how that can result in innovation, profitability, and excellence.

• JC Rice, Vice President Shared Services for Perio-Barbasol and Kevin Klinvex, Co-Founder of Select International and Co-author of the business bestselling book, Hiring Great People, will discuss how the implementation of pre employment assessments allows organizations to determine if a candidate will be a good fit. Rice has first-hand experience in staffing a new facility and will discuss how utilizing assessments in the hiring process at Perio-Barbasol impacted their overall results.

“Attendees will have access to an impressive panel of speakers at this event,” said Klinvex. “In addition, HR professionals now have the opportunity to also earn credits toward their HRCI credentials.”

Seating for this event, which takes place from 8:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m., is limited, and registration is $100/person. An early bird special of $75/person ends April 9. To register or get additional information, visit the event’s website.
