HR.com Accelerates and Expands Its Events Business with Significant Investments

Jacksons Point, Ontario, Canada HR.com, the largest network of human resources (HR) executives, continues to scale their events business and team to offer HR professionals learning, networking and development, as well as to provide opportunities for the community to connect.

The latest updates include:

1. New Event Strategy Team

A new strategic events team joined HR.com in March 2021 to lead its event portfolio that has already shown significant growth in recent years. The team includes top leaders and experienced professionals from the HR community and events industry, with event management credentials including UNLEASH, SAP SuccessFactors, PennWell, Mobile World Congress, FESPA and TMForum.

The new team members include Mike Treacher (Managing Director), Bri Vellis (Event Marketing & Communications), Robert Carson (Event Marketing), and Duncan MacOwan (Event Content Director). This team will oversee the entire HR event portfolio, looking for new opportunities and creating best-in class events virtually, in-person, as well as hybrid events to ensure the HR community gets quality content and thought leadership around the latest trends and technology. Over the next year, the HR.com events team will produce over 35 virtual events for HR professionals including INSPIRE, HR West, The Human Experience Summit, HR Tech Symposium, and over 20 ‘State of the Industry’ research virtual events presenting the latest data and findings from HR.com’s HR Research Institute.

“This expert team of event professionals will be an outstanding addition as we scale up our virtual event offerings and continue to provide more options for our HR community,” HR.com CEO and Chief Instigator Debbie McGrath says. “HR.com successfully delivered virtual events prior to the pandemic, and we fully expect virtual events to continue to grow and align with physical events as they become part of our lives again.”

More hybrid opportunities will become available as in-person events make a comeback, allowing traditional events to have a further reach with a virtual “overlay” experience for online participants.

The virtual events will bring the latest trends, technology and thought leadership for HR professionals and solution providers, and prove relevant and timely for today’s evolving HR needs.

2. User Conferences and Partner Events

HR.com continues to focus on helping the HR industry produce affordable and accessible HR events and user conferences. To date, HR.com has produced events for HR solution providers such as the FuelX Talent Mobility Conference with Fuel50, the Cornerstone On-Demand Learning Content Summit, and the ADP – GPT Connect Summit for 9,000 ADP developers.

3. Spin-Off Company, The Virtual Event Place

The year 2020 saw the launch of Virtual Event Place (VEP), and to date, VEP has created and produced over 150 virtual events working with many associations and technology firms. Virtual Event Place operates as a separate entity and continues to invest in its virtual event technology platform.
