LOS ANGELES – September 20, 2017 – Human Capital Management Institute (HCMI), a leading provider of evidence-based workforce analytics software and services that improve business performance, has appointed Steven R. Maxwell as president and board member.
Maxwell will lead the company’s growth strategy and revenue-generating activities. His efforts will support HCMI’s continued growth as the preferred workforce analytics provider for organizations and investors seeking to maximize their return on investments in human capital.

Maxwell brings more than 25 years of experience leading organizations from start-ups through $300 million established businesses. He has served as CEO or COO of three successful turnarounds, co-founder of two start-ups with successful exits, and partner or practice leader at leading management consulting firms.
Prior to joining HCMI, Maxwell was founder and CEO of Workforce Innovation Partners, a specialized management consulting firm that helps business leaders achieve breakthrough performance by changing the way they design, build, and deploy their workforce. His previous experience also includes serving as a partner in the Newport Board Group where he worked with emerging growth, middle market, and private equity clients to enhance investment and improve performance; co- founding and serving as CEO of iHRos, a Singapore-based payroll outsourcing and HR services firm; and holding senior leadership positions with Mercer, Buck Consultants (now Conduent), Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson), and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Maxwell holds a bachelor of science in business administration degree in finance and organizational behavior from Boston University, and has completed MIT Sloan School of Management’s executive education program in business strategy.
