On March 31, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. (local time), iCIMS employees will join hundreds of millions of people across the world in turning off the lights for one hour.
In 2011, the Earth Hour event became the single largest public environmental action in history. Some of the world’s most famous man-made marvels; including China’s Forbidden City, Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, and the Empire State Building stood in darkness as symbols of environmental action. Earth Hour was created as a single-city environmental initiative in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Today, more than 5,000 cities and towns in 135 countries across every continent have participated in the cause.
In 2006, iCIMS’ launched the iCARE Green Initiatives program which was sparked by the company’s commitment to creating software solutions that can help businesses of all sizes dramatically reduce the use of paper within hiring processes. Over the years, iCIMS has supported several environmental organizations including 3 Phases Renewables, Earth Share of New Jersey, Environmental Defense Fund, and The Nature Conservancy.
