IHRIM To Host New Advanced Staffing Analytics Course After Workforce Analytics Forum

The International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM), the world’s leading clearinghouse for the HRIM (Human Resource Information Management) industry, today announced the introduction of an Advanced Staffing Analytics Course on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 — the day after its Workforce Analytics Forum. Like the 2012 Workforce Analytics Forum, the half-day course is to be held at the Terry College of Business Executive Education Center in Atlanta, GA.

“While staffing is a core human resources management function, it is also complex, involving a sequence of interrelated decisions controlled alternatively by job seekers and organization decision makers,” said Kevin Carlson, Ph.D., course instructor and Associate Professor of Management at Virginia Tech. “To improve staffing effectiveness, organizations need to understand the impact of these decisions and develop a framework of metrics and analytics. In this course, we’ll explore a system of metrics and associated analytics to help attendees form the foundation for evaluating staffing effectiveness for all positions in an organization.”

Who Gains the Most from Attending?
This half-day course is designed for an advanced level audience, and will benefit individuals who manage some or all of the processes involved in staffing high volume positions in mid- to large-sized organizations. HR professionals involved in conducting staffing analytics or developing & reporting metrics for all aspects of talent management will also find the content useful.

What Attendees Will Learn
• Current Staffing Effectiveness Metrics
• The Theoretic Foundations of the Business Case for Improved Staffing
• How to Measure Staffing Effectiveness
• A System of Staffing Metrics and Associated Analytics
• Implications for Staffing Practice
