Impact Achievement Introduces the Harrison Assessments™ Talent Solutions, Ideal Template for Recruiting

SEATTLE – Jan. 20, 2010 – Impact Achievement Group introduced the Harrison Assessments Talent Solutions (HATS), a comprehensive and fully automated hiring assessment system that streamlines candidate screening and selection.

With the Harrison system, recruiters and hiring managers can pre-assess the eligibility and suitability of candidates before reviewing resumes, significantly cutting screening times. Using HATS’ proven Job Success Formulas – 250 “starter formulas” of common eligibility factors for specific jobs – recruiters can choose from 1000s of eligibility factors such as attitudes, motivations, interpersonal skills, work preferences and interests to create custom assessments for job success.

“The ability to customize assessments in HATS dramatically shortens the recruiting process, from days to minutes. And with minimal volume, the costs can be under $10 per applicant,” said Lee Klepinger, founder and chief executive officer. “In addition to screening out ineligible candidates, HATS quantifies levels of eligibility of each candidate as well as their suitability.”

Automatically quantifying eligibility factors means an employer looking for a junior-level C++ programmer might weight two years of experience at 50 percent, three years at 40 percent and five years at 25 percent. This considerably narrows the pool of eligible candidates.

“Harrison Assessments Talent Solutions helped our organization compress the hiring cycle and save on recruiting costs. We secured talent that we wouldn’t have had a clear sightline to if we followed the traditional hiring process,” said Christie Budynkiewicz, Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. “HATS is fast, easy and inexpensive and has changed the way we approach hiring and development.”

Beyond eligibility, HATS uncovers suitability, “will the person perform,” significantly more difficult to assess as it addresses behavioral factors that directly and accurately predict job success. This eliminates employers hiring for eligibility, trying to develop the individual’s suitability, and then firing the employee for their lack of suitability.

Harrison Assessments Talent Solutions enables recruiters to view candidates stack-ranked in a database, with the ability to instantly create a prioritized candidate short list. In addition, HATS is a very powerful tool for coaching and development, team building and action planning, as well assuccession planning.

HATS is based on 20+ years research in job behavior assessments. Its Smart Questionnaire measures 156 traits, creates multiple groups of a select number of statements, and then ranks them against each other. Each statement also appears in two different groups, allowing over 8100 comparisons and equaling 2700 multiple-choice questions. HATS also detects false answers and pierces self-deception. Applicants can complete the questionnaire in less than 30 minutes, equivalent to full day of multiple-choice testing. Screening is cut from days to minutes.
