Insala Partners with The University of Texas at Arlington's I/O Psychology Center to Promote Research

DALLAS/FT. WORTH – July 15, 2014 – The first semester of the partnership between Insala, a global provider of talent development solutions, and The University of Texas at Arlington’s I/O Psychology Center has concluded successfully.

The partnership is centered on research conducted by master’s students who are part of the I/O Psychology program.

Before the start of the semester, Insala proposed research topics based on current trends that are immediately relevant to HR and talent development practitioners. The students then researched the available scholarly and practitioner-oriented literatures surrounding these topics, and applied their findings toward real-world solutions.

“It’s tremendously valuable work given how the fields of talent development and I/O psychology have changed and will continue to change,” said Phillip Roark, CEO and founder of Insala. “This research is important to the students and their future careers as I/O psychology practitioners, and it’s important to us as a vendor of talent development solutions.”

“The partnership with Insala was a great illustration of The Center’s main mission – bridging the gap between science and practice,” said Nicolette Lopez, Ph.D. and director of the I/O Psychology Center. “Drawing from the best available sources, including the scholarly literature and practitioner-oriented resources, the students synthesized and produced relevant, evidenced-based systematic reviews that focus on current topics important to L&D organizations. Ultimately, this kind of partnership succeeds in two related ways: practice is better informed and our students are better prepared.”
