Interaction Associates, the global innovator of advanced methods to create collaborative workplaces and develop leadership for change, has signed on to advance women in business by taking December 22, 2014. BOSTON, MA – The Corporate Challenge, an initiative intended to enlist businesses to foster the advancement of women at all levels, including board positions.
The Corporate Challenge is an invitation issued by Governor Patrick in cooperation with Bentley University and its Center for Women and Business (CWB). The Challenge is largely about being part of a community of companies working on the vital issues of recruiting, retaining, and promoting women in the workforce.
“Interaction Associates is already highly committed to and active in advancing women leaders in our own company, as well as in our clients’ organizations,” said Linda Stewart, President and CEO of Interaction Associates. “We designed and deliver customized consulting and training services to companies looking to develop and promote women leaders, so joining The Corporate Challenge seems a natural fit,” she added.
Interaction Associates has chosen the following areas on which to focus:
1) Actively recruit women to fill open positions at all levels of the organization, in order to increase the percentage of women in the workforce, including non-traditional roles.
2) Increase the percentage of women among the top 10% of the company’s senior positions.
3) Increase the number of women on the board of directors.
IA’s Women in Leadership (WIL) program already has been adopted and rolled out globally by a high-tech giant, and has resulted in promotions for women leaders inside that company. The Women in Leadership workshop pressure-tests and hones women leaders’ business skills – equipping women not only for career success, but for major contributions to their companies.
