Dr. Graves is a thought leader in workforce analytics and a requested presenter at analytics conferences worldwide including Australia, Europe, Asia, and North America. Currently, as the Director of Organizational Insights and Analytics at Starbucks, she is responsible for employee surveys/research, talent assessments, workforce systems, and analytics. She successfully built the Organizational Insights and Analytics department with the capability to internally design and deliver industry-leading programs and data-driven insights that are heavily leveraged to optimize talent and the business.
Prior to Starbucks, Melissa worked as both an internal and external consultant at many Fortune 500 companies across various industries such as Retail/Consumer Goods, High Tech, and Banking/Insurance, including but not limited to Gap Inc, Amazon.com, Safeway Inc, and Bank of America. Melissa holds a B.S. in Psychology from UCSB and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University.
