Sonar6 Announces New Appointments and Staffing Change

Auckland, New Zealand 12 May 2010 — Sonar6, the performance management software innovator, has announced the creation of new roles and accountabilities for key staff. The new appointments follow an internal restructure of Sonar6, and represent an increased focus on development capability and customer service.

Executive

Michael Carden has been appointed GM of Sales and Marketing, heading up worldwide sales, lead generation, content management, and marketing teams.

Mark Hellier has been appointed Head of Product. Mark will be responsible for the Sonar6 application, from design to delivery, with ultimate ownership of the customer experience.

Pete Weaver has been appointed Head of Retention in addition to his Chief Operating Officer role, with responsibility for ensuring that Sonar6 maintains its envied customer retention rate.

Michelle Ellis has been appointed to the new role of Service Delivery Manager. Reporting to the CEO, Michelle will be responsible for the development and support teams, as well as overseeing implementation and pre-sales support. Michelle is an internationally qualified ITIL instructor and brings to Sonar6 a wealth of experience in service management, having previously worked with the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, Deloitte and IBM.

Service Delivery

Dominik Assig will be leaving his role as Customer Support Manager as of May 21 2010. As part of plans to increase support capacity, his role will be replaced by three new Support Technician roles spread across the US and New Zealand offices.

Hendrik Thomas has been recruited to the Senior Support Technician position, and will start his handover period 10 May 2010.

James Nepia has been recruited to a Support Technician position, and will start with Sonar6 on 24 May 2010.

Sonar6 is also currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to work with both the Service Delivery and Product Management teams. The Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting requirements and specifications for the development team, scheduling releases and designing development processes.

Sonar6 CEO John Holt says the new appointments are testament to the ongoing success of Sonar6 and increased demand for the company’s services.

“It’s fantastic to be adding to our team as a result of unprecedented growth. While we would have liked to have had our support structure in place earlier, customer uptake in the last 6 months went well above our expectations.

“Our new team members will enable us to better service our existing customers in Australia and New Zealand and also allow us to scale the business further in North America.

“Over 2000 organisations have engaged in the Sonar6 experience since the business began in 2006, and we have taken the opportunity to reorganize our people to focus more effectively on supporting that success.

“While growth has come most recently from North America, we recognize our service promise to existing customers in Australasia also needs to be delivered and constantly improved. It’s great to be expanding our office in the USA but we have not forgotten the need to ensure our local customers remain true fans of Sonar6.”
