During “Minimizing Unemployment Costs in 2011 and Beyond,” Michael Mohr, vice president, and Matthew White, director of Tax Services, of TALX will examine the long-term impact of unemployment expenses to employers, discuss economic indicators and review planning strategies to assist with rising unemployment costs. This session will provide participants with actionable tips to help mitigate risk, leverage planning techniques and minimize costs within individual organizations. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of specific topics related to unemployment costs including: federal Title XII loan balances, potential federal unemployment tax increases and
the long term impact of these costs over the next several years.

TALX will also provide additional industry expertise at the upcoming 2011 SHRM Indiana State Conference. During “Assessments for Employee Selection and Development,” Jocelyn Courtney-Hays, manager of Talent Measurement for pan, a TALX company, will discuss how assessments can enhance employee selection processes leading to improved quality of hire, efficient applicant pool management, and decreased counterproductive behaviors and turnover.
