HAZLET, N.J. (January 20, 2009) — iCIMS, the 2nd largest provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition solutions, has recently co-sponsored the Aberdeen Group’s December 2009 Talent Management Report. The report surveyed 379 human resources executives and revealed that companies that have integrated at least two distinct talent management processes have reported superior performance gains over organizations that have not. “Integrated Talent Management: Improving Business Results Through Visibility and Alignment” describes the key factors for organic organizational growth in 2010, focusing on the alignment & integration of talent management processes.
“The key to organic organizational growth in 2010 will be the proper alignment of the workforce with a company’s near- and long-term goals, and the integration of talent management processes, systems, and data will play a significant role in that alignment,” said Kevin Martin, Vice President and Group Director at Aberdeen. “While our research shows the vast majority of organizations have only achieved integration across two or more elements of talent management, those that have are reporting superior performance gains.”
Aberdeen details key Best-in-Class performance criteria, ultimately recommending talent management integrations to spur improvements in hiring manager satisfaction, employee performance, and employee engagement. Aberdeen’s report indicates that organizations that have integrated the processes pertaining to at least two elements of talent management have achieved performance gains that include 3 times better hiring manager satisfaction (14% vs. 5%) and 2 times better time—to-productivity (15% vs. 8%) — metrics that are, in turn, generally key when determining quality of hire. Aligned with the report’s suggestion for talent management integration, iCIMS, the #1 provider of talent acquisition solutions for the mid-market, has recently announced its continued success with SMB clients utilizing the Talent Platform for their end-to-end candidate and employee management needs.
In addition, the report put Best-in-Class companies as three times more likely to integrate talent management data with employee data, which subsequently helps reduce time-consuming administrative tasks while streamlining data availability for reporting. Similarly, iCIMS’ Talent Platform enables its clients to streamline their reporting initiatives — from candidate to employee data, and reduce resources spent on cumbersome paper processes through the convenience of a single platform. The report also reflects the success that Best-in-Class organizations have received from automating their processes through their planned increase in technology spending for 2010. An overwhelming 68% of Best-in-Class companies have anticipated their technology budget to increase in order to streamline the accuracy of their future talent decisions while engaging, retaining, & increasing their existing talent.
“In 2009, we saw a rapid growth in the number of businesses turning to iCIMS to automate their HR functions, a smart choice for organizations not only looking to improve their candidate and employee management processes, but also looking to make an investment that will inevitably result in a substantial ROI”, said iCIMS Chief Operating Officer Adam Feigenbaum.
Similarly, 61% of Laggard organizations have indicated that they do not use talent management technology and are either paper or spreadsheet based. The findings further support the correlation between automation and Best-in-Class success — a green initiative that the iCIMS Talent Platform has enabled over 800 clients to achieve since 1999. Conveniently, users of the iCIMS Talent Platform are equipped with the ability to take any piece of paper and have it converted into a fully searchable & reportable iForm — a powerful way to not only have their paperwork automated but also turned into fully functional software.
Another parallel exists between the report’s recommendation for a single competency model across the entire talent lifecycle and iCIMS’ Talent & Competency Profiles. iCIMS’ single competency model facilitates HR Professionals’ ability to evaluate the capacities, competencies and values of employees for assessment of potential career development and succession planning. With the iCIMS platform, clients can integrate workforce planning programs with succession planning to identify future opportunities within the organization and then prepare employees for those opportunities.
“iCIMS is proud to co-sponsor the Aberdeen Group’s Talent Management Integrations report, and we are enthusiastic about how closely the research is aligned with our system ,” said Susan Vitale, Chief Strategic Officer at iCIMS. “This report reaffirms that taking a more holistic approach to the talent management lifecycle shows improved results — further presenting iCIMS as an ideal solution provider for organizations interested in achieving Best-in-Class performance in 2010 and beyond.”
The iCIMS Talent Platform enables organizations to create consistency across all facets of talent management through the convenience of an inherently flexible, single-source coded solution. The high degree of flexibility allows for candidate management offerings like applicant tracking, workforce planning and onboarding to employment management solutions including performance management and talent & competency profiles. Recently named the leader in total service satisfaction for mid-market organizations by Bersin & Associate! s latest study, iCIMS attributes its ability to support
Best-in-Class companies not only to the breadth of the platform, but also to the company’s unparalleled commitment to the customer experience. The industry-recognized Talent Platform and customer support teams provide iCIMS clients with a competitive advantage for aligning their workforce and company’s near and long-term goals.
